Our scene starts in bleak October. Of course, in the Northwest, all months are bleak, save the last week of August. Andrew was waiting patiently for his best friend Charlie to come back. He'd been gone for fifteen minutes, but it wasn't yet concerning. So he waited, ad ordered another latte. After Andrew finished this second drink, the thought crossed his mind that Charlie wasn't coming back. Why not? It was slightly large, to reveal that he'd had a slight crush. Of course, he didn't know it was a crush in first grade. But he'd had a decade to mull it over, and he was positive; he was gay, and more importantly, he was in love with Charlie.
